Whimsy Pin Cushion Beaded Star
This Vintage Beaded Star Pin Cushion Whimsy is made with clear, white, yellow and turquois seed beads. This piece has red velveteen fabric with a sun design in the center. The whimsy has very little bead loss and is in good condition. The beautiful red polished cotton back has minimal fading.
This whimsy is a classic example of Beaded Whimsy tourist souvenirs. Native American crafters in the border regions between Canada and the United States at the turn of the 20th century created many of these whimsies for the tourist trade. This Pin Cushion will make an unusual addition to your collection!
It measures about 3.5″ in diameter and 1″ thick.
