This Red Velveteen Whimsy Boot takes its inspiration from the Iroquois Beaded Whimsies from the turn of the century. The crafter created it with 10/0 Seed Beads in a variety of bright colors. He or she used Red Velveteen for the front and a Kelly Green fabric on the back. You will find White Seed Bead Edge Beading around most of the edges. At the bottom, the crafter made Beaded Loop Tassels with multi-colored Seed Beads.Native American crafters in the border regions between Canada and the United States at the turn of the 20th century created whimsies like these for the tourist trade.
The floral design on this Whimsy sparkles with cut Seed Beads and four sequins. The crafter stitched the top closed and added a thread so you can hang this Whimsy as an ornament. It is beautiful and in excellent condition!
This beautiful Whimsy will make a superb addition to your beadwork or whimsy collection!
