Round Quilled Birchbark Box with Rainbow Flower
This round Quilled Birchbark Box features a Rainbow Flower Porcupine Quill designs on the lid. The crafter attached bands of Sweetgrass to make the container and added a birchbark bottom and lid. The floral design includes red, yellow, purple dyed quills as well as natural quills. The lid has a band of sweet grass and natural colored quills around the edge. This piece is from a collection and is in like new condition.
Birchbark containers are traditional containers made from the bark of birch trees. They are typically used by Indigenous people in North America for storing and transporting food, clothing, and other items. This Container stands 2″ tall. The bottom measures 3.5 inches in diameter. One of a Kind!
