This one of a kind Pottery Small Acoma Jar will become the centerpiece of your collection!  It comes with a bold geometric designs. The potter covered it with White slip then added the designs in Black & Terra cotta paint.  The potter signed the bottom  MS Juanico Sky City Acoma , N.MX .  We think it was made in the 1980s – 1990s.

This jar stands just about 4″ tall, and measures about 4.5″  at its widest point. The top opening measures 2.75″ in diameter.  You will see some wear with fading in spots on the design where the black has rubbed off.  Structurally, this piece remains in excellent condition.  One of a Kind!

Traditional Acoma pottery comes from the Pueblo in New Mexico. The pottery usually features very thin walls, a desirable characteristic. Most artists create their pottery using hand coiled techniques. They often use Black, White and Red slip colors.
