Baskets Southwestern Set of Two
This beautiful vintage handwoven Set of Two Southwestern Baskets is made with coils of grass, with darker strands on the rim and throughout the design. The cup holder basket fits six drinks and has a very sturdy base and handles. Each ring measures approx. 2.75″ in diameter and 2″ deep. The entire piece measures 9″ in diameter at the base.
The larger matching serving tray 14″ long and 11.5″ wide at the base. The handle is 7.5″ tall. The tray has some small breaks in the woven grass but is still in good condition.
Papago weavers, also known as Tohono O’odham made this style basket to appeal to tourists traveling in the Southwest in the early 1900s.
