Vintage Leggins – Chippewa Beaded Navy Wool
These one-of-a-kind Chippewa wool leggings feature unusual front tabs. These vintage Leggins show excellent craftsmanship! The crafter made them in the 1950s from navy blue wool with silk binding. The artist chose a mix of old color beads (White Center Red, Greasy Yellow, Cheyenne Pink) as well as classic sparkly cut beads.
Fabric lines the lower parts of the legs. The design is the same on each side, but with different colors.
These leggins remain in very good condition. You will see some wear along the bottom silk binding and a couple of small moth holes.
The leggins measure 25.5″ long on the back side and 28.5″ long on the front side. The bottom measures 8″ wide and the top measures 11″ wide. Fabric ties are attached.
One of a Kind!
