Beaded Apache Style Bag Small
This Small Apache Style Bag features beadwork on both sides! The crafter created colorful geometric designs and borders on both sides of this Braintanned Deerskin Leather Bag. One side features Light Blue, Red, White, Navy Blue, Transparent Orange and Transparent Red Seed Beads. On the reverse side, the crafter used White, Navy Blue, Light Blue, Transparent Yellow and Transparent Red Seed Beads. He or she added 4.5″ of beaded Fringe in Red, Alabaster, Transparent Red, Cut Hematite and Assorted color Seed Beads. Edge beading in Navy Blue and White appears along the sides of the Bag and edge beading in White and Red lines the opening of the Bag. Deerskin Leather Lacing serves as a drawstring closure.
This Bag measures 6.25″ x 4.25″ not including the Fringe. It was made around 1950. There is no obvious bead loss. It is in very good condition for its age. One of a Kind!
