11 inch Traditional Ash Basket

This Traditional Ash Basket features pink and brown dyed splints. You can see the original vibrant colors on the inside. When you turn it over, you will find one narrow green splint running through the bottom. The basket maker used traditional methods to create this Ash Basket. He of she added curled pink splints to the top and sides.

A previous owner used this Basket, but it remains in very good condition. Besides the faded color, you will see a few cracked splints. The splits wrapped around the handle have loosened.

The Basket measures 4″ high with the lid on and 11″ in diameter.
