Add these Dolls Corn Husk Set of 2 to your collection! We are selling them as a set. The woman doll wears a red velveteen apron and head kerchief. She carries a stick on her right hand. The woman has dots for eyes, but no other facial features. She stands 5.5 inches tall. This doll does not have a base.
The man doll comes in the figure of a Buffalo Dancer. He wears a fake fur headdress and carries a red rattle. A Red, Blue and Green yarn sash holds up his beaded Deerskin Leather Breechcloth. Red, Blue and Green yarn garters appear above his Deerskin Leather Moccasins. The artist put him on a wood base. He stands a little over 7 inches tall including the base.
The earliest knows examples of Corn Husk dolls were made by Native American crafters from the dried corn leaves. They made them both as toys for children and for ceremonial or protective purposes. We got this set of dolls from a collection. You will find them both in good condition with minimal signs of wear. We are selling them as a set. One of a Kind!
