Scalp Feathers with Beaded Leather and Macaw Feathers
These Scalp Feathers with Beaded Leather will make a nice addition to your regalia! Scalp feathers, also known as “scalp plumes” or “scalplock,” are a form of adornment consisting of decorative feathers worn on or attached to the scalp. The artist used two macaw feathers and attached peyote stitched beaded cuffs. Both feathers are attached to a piece of leather decorated with the flat gourd stitch. You can use the deer skin lacing to tie it to your hair. The front of the feather is blue and decorated with smaller colorful feathers. The back of the feathers are a dark red.
This piece measures approx. 15″ long and the feathers each measure 2″ at the widest part. One of a kind!
