Roach 16″ Porcupine Green

This Roach Porcupine Green features a matching green roach base.   It is an older in and out Roach.  The crafter tied 1 full row and 2 half rows of porcupine hair to make it. He attached shoe laces for ties.  The front hair stands approximately 8 inches high.  This roach comes with a wood form for storage.  One of a Kind!

Porcupine hair roaches are one type of traditional headwear for Native American Dance Regalia.  You can attach a roach to your head with a small hair braid (or scalplock) pulled though the center hole and fasten with a roach pin, and or use a roach spreader.  Hair base roaches are an early form of roaches. To make them, the crafter must tie hundreds of bundles of hair then sew them together to form the base.

This Roach Porcupine Green measures approximately 16 inches long and 3.5 inches wide at the widest point.  We got this roach from a collection.  You will find it very good, usable condition.  One of a Kind!
