Knife Sheath Orange Quillwork

This Quilled Braintanned Deerskin Knife Sheath comes with a small Knife. The crafter used walnut hulls to dye the Deerskin dark brown.  He added Quillwork designs with Orange and Natural colored Porcupine Quills.  Around the edges of the Sheath, the crafter added finely done Quillwork with Orange Porcupine Quills. Then he attached drops made with 3/4" long Antiqued Tin Cones with dyed Horsehair.  The crafter wrapped the top of the Drops with Natural and Orange Porcupine Quills.   He wrapped more Quills around the Deerskin Leather Lacing handle.    The crafter lined the inside of the Sheath with 2 pieces of cardboard.
This piece come with a knife which measures 6" in length. The metal blade is approximately 2.5".   The Knife Sheath measures 8.5" long (not including the drops) and 2" at the widest point.    The handle is about 10" long.  We got this Knife Sheath from a collection. You will see some places on the edges where the Quills have broken. Otherwise it is in very good condition.  One of a Kind!
