These Beaded Cuffs - Sioux Style as wearable as they are beautiful! The cuffs are lazy stitch using 11/o Reproduction Seed Beads. They are beaded on leather then backed with blue and yellow calico fabric to the reverse side of the cuff. Finally, three leather ties each cuff for easy adjustment. Five of the six ties are grey leather, brown leather cord has been added to one cuff as a replacement for the original center tie (see photo.)The artist used Reproduction Seed Beads in Cobalt Blue, Greasy Yellow, and White Center Red to make four identical geometric designs on each cuff. They beaded the background entirely with White Seed Beads.
When unfolded, these cuffs measure 11" at the forearm and 8 3/4" at the wrist. They will fit most medium to large sizes comfortably.
