Moccasins - Antique Salt & Pepper Beadwork
These Antique Moccasins feature a salt & pepper multicolor bead design. We believe they come from around 1890. The crafter used Indian Tanned Deerhide. He or she stitched them together and did the beadwork with real sinew. Rawhide soles cover the bottom. Cotton fabric binds the cuffs.Though a previous owner wore these moccasins, they remain in good condition. You can see minor bead loss. Notice the blue shading of the beads around the cuff.
These moccasins measure 9" long x 3.5" wide. They stand 3" high at the cuff.
You will find these a superb addition to a moccasin or beadwork collection!
