Red Wool Concho Dragger with Beaded Cuff

Try this Concho Dragger with Beaded Cuff on for size or add it to your accessories collection.  The crafter made this dragger with red wool.  He used a twisted red cord to attach fifteen graduated German Silver Conchos to the entire length of it.  He added three dimensional Edge Beading with White Seed Beads to both sides of the dragger.

The top two conchos measure 2.75 inches in diameter.  The concho sizes graduate down to 1 inch in diameter.   At the bottom, the crafter added a 1.5 inch long Peyote stitched Beaded Cuff in White, Red, Orange, Yellow and Light Blue.  Below this is a piece of Selvedge Edge Red wool cut into fringe.   At the very bottom you will see a  bundle of white horsehair.  At the top, the crafter added a red shoelace to attach it to your outfit.  One of a Kind!

Native American Straight Dancers can include a Dragger as part of their dance clothes.  Crafters make draggers from Otter Fur or wool.  They decorate them with brooches, conchos or beadwork.   This Concho Dragger with Beaded Cuff came from a collection.  It measures 56 inches long overall.  The width is 2.5 inches at the top and 1 inches wide at the bottom.  The horse hair section hangs 6 inches down from the bottom. The shoelace measures 44 inches long.   A previous owner wore this accessory.  You will see signs of wear.  Some of the conchos show tarnish.  It is in good, wearable condition.  One of a Kind!
