Chevron Beads India Black

Chevron Beads India Black

Black India Chevron Beads

SOLD OUT Enjoy the classic look of these Black India Chevron Beads.  They are black with red and white layers. The Beads are a mix of oblong  and round shaped. Though they measure between 4 mm and 7 mm long, they are only 5 mm in diameter, so they are smaller than other Chevrons.   Approximately 70 of them come on a strand.  The strand measures 13.5" long doubled including the string.
Historically, bead makers in Czechoslovakia first made Chevron Beads in the 16th -17th centuries. Traders carried these layered glass beads to North America and Africa. They are highly desirable due to the complexity of their manufacture. Foremen did not permit craftsmen  to leave their factories in order to prevent them from sharing the technology. These Black Beads come from India.
