Wool Blanket - Seamed Blue Stripes
This medium weight wool blanket has a rough home-spun feel. This Blanket likely comes from a home loom. The weavers stitched two pieces together to make a wider blanket, so you will see the seam. The shorter sides have a folded over sewn edging, the other two sides are well finished but do not seem to have a stitched seam. You will notice the longer edges are also 'uneven'. This blanket comes to us as 'antique' but we do not know when the weavers created it.The color is a nice ivory with multiple navy blue stripes on the shorter sides. This blanket has no tag on it.
A previous owner used this blanket, but it remains usable condition. You will see some discolored spots and places where the seam and the sewn edges are coming unstitched.
This blanket measures 71" x 60".
