SOLD This Gorget Set comes with three graduated pieces that you can wear as a set. The crafter made them with metal that includes some silver. Each has two small conchos inserted through the top ends. Use the concho loops to string your own Deerskin Leather Lacing, twine or chain. They all have a raised edge. The largest piece measures 6 inches wide, the middle size measures 5 inches wide and the smallest one measures 4 inches wide. We got these gorgets from a collection. You will see signs of wear and smudges that can be polished off. They are lightweight.Metal Gorgets were originally worn by European military officers in the 18th century. In North America, Europeans gave Gorgets to Native American leaders as trade goods. Over time, Metal Gorgets became prized trade items and part of Native American Regalia in the Eastern United States. This item is appropriate for French and Indian War period regalia.
