We sell these Vintage White Padre Beads by the strand. You will find approx. 100 beads on the strand.Padre Beads are a variety of wound glass trade beads. Catholic Priests from Spain wore strands of beads like these during the Colonial period. Moreover, "padre" means "father" in Spanish. Therefore, Padre Beads get their name from these Spanish priests.
These White Padre Trade Beads vary in size and color. This last remaining strand includes mostly mottled gray beads. There are also some translucent white one. And additionally a few peach colored beads join the others on this strand.
